Papers and Presentations

In October 2005, a presentation about openais and the openais roadmap was given at the Beijing CGL f2f.

In July 2005, a presentation about virtual synchrony was given to the OSDL SIG Cluster Summit f2f.

In July 2005, a presentation about high availability with openais was given to the OSDL SIG Cluster Summit f2f.

In January 2005, a presentation of the openais status was given to the OSDL CGL Working Group. Includes accomplishments, roadmap, and analysis of cgl requirements relating to openais.

In September 2004, a presentation containing good information about the design of openais was made to the OSDL CGL Working Group in Japan.

For people using openais, read the quickstart guide.
Examine the network and logging configuration file (/etc/ais/openais.conf).
Examine a configuration file example for AMF (/etc/ais/groups.conf).
Read the manual pages of openais.
Read the change history of openais.

Mailing List

The openais mailing list should be used for all communication relating to the openais project. Please send mail to the mailing list instead of developers directly. This allows more then one person to respond to information requests and allows everyone to see the solution to a possible problem.

Defects

If a defect is found in openais, please discuss it on the mailing list. Once the mailing list has determined it is indeed a bug, submit a bug report via OSDL's bugzilla bug tracking system.

Enhancement Requests

Please submit enhancement requests via bugzilla. This way they are tracked. We may not get to them any time soon, but atleast we will know what users desire. It might also be helpful to submit your ideas to the mailing list, or better yet, submit a patch!
